Environmentally friendly disposal

The disposal of electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries and rechargeable batteries is strictly regulated by law: Under no circumstances may they be disposed of with household waste. We will gladly take back your old appliances, batteries and rechargeable batteries and dispose of them in accordance with the legal requirements.

Information on electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG)

The Act on the Placing on the Market, the Taking Back and the Environmentally Sound Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (ElektroG) has as its primary objective the prevention of waste from electrical and electronic equipment and, in addition, the preparation for reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such waste in order to reduce the amount of waste to be disposed of and thereby improve the efficiency of resource use. As an owner of electrical and electronic equipment, you must not dispose of WEEE that you wish to dispose of together with your household waste. WEEE must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. This is indicated by the symbol shown below, which is attached to electrical and electronic equipment:

This crossed-out dustbin means that electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. Electrical and electronic equipment can be handed in at the collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment (e.g. a recycling centre near you).

Note: We will gladly take back your old appliances and take care of their proper disposal.

Note:

Used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the waste equipment must be separated from it before handing it in at a collection point. You are responsible for deleting your personal data stored on an old appliance, for example.

Information according to the ChemRRV

Since we sell batteries and rechargeable batteries or devices containing batteries and rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the Battery Act (ChemRRV Annex 2.15) to inform you of the following: Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste, but you are legally obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can affect the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc and manganese or nickel and are recycled. You can either return the batteries to us after use or return them free of charge in the immediate vicinity (e.g. to retailers or municipal collection points). The crossed-out waste bin means that you must not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries in household waste.
